Access to Services

To get more information about services or to apply for Case Management, call 1-800-823-2988 to speak with our Intake Coordinator and begin the process.

They Understand
Our intake coordinators are also the parents of children with special needs and have obtained services on behalf of their own children. They understand the difficulty of navigating through services to get your child's needs met. They will explain how Case Management may assist your family and answer any questions you may have.

Our Bangor office takes referrals for areas served. Referrals are generally done on the phone in about 15 minutes. After making your referral, youth are assigned a Case Manager as soon as possible, usually the same day.

Who We Serve

  • Residents of Aroostook, Hancock, Penobscot, Piscataquis, Cumberland, York and Washington counties.
  • We also serve bordering towns in Waldo and Somerset counties.
  • Youth with (or eligible to recieve) a mental health diagnosis, intellecutal disabilities, developmental disabilities, Autism or Asperger's Disorder. We now have case managers who specialize in serving youth with Complex Medical Needs.
  • Ages birth through their 20th year.

Case Management is funded through MaineCare and the Department of Health and Human Services Children's Behavioral Health Services. Unfortunately, private insurances do not fund case management service at this time. If you feel that you would benefit from Wings' services, we encourage you to consider applying for MaineCare or Katie Beckett (MaineCare benefits for children with serious health conditions).

Call 1-800-823-2988 and ask for our Intake department for more information. We have MaineCare applications available.
